Singapore Won The Asean Championship Title
Ole ole ole ole... Singapore won the Asean Championship Title!
I've been watching them play since 1999. Haven't been impressive. Furthermore, I missed the Championship in 2004 because I guessed I'm in the army, so I wasn't sure their standard.
Their group stage performance wasn't convincing so I did not expect them to win it this year. Even though, I don't think their performance was great, I must say that they improved alot. It used to be 10 men defending. This time round, it was all about possession, at least they can control the game better, doesn't lose ball as easy as it used to be and knows how to attack down the flanks.
I thought S'pore might not be able to handle the crowds after the 1st leg in the National Stadium on Wednesday. But I was so happy that they prove me wrong. Even though they were 1 goal down, the Lions did not give up. And continue to attack. The feeling was unbelievable after we equalized. Then again, we were lucky to lead from the 1st leg.
Congrats to the Lions.
