Lucky Me!
Last night when I wanted to do my project, I realized that my thumb drive was not in my bag. I recalled that afternoon around 1:45pm, I plugged it into the back, of school com lab, CPU and forgot to plug out when I left. The whole night I was cursing and swearing. Sweet asked me to drive back to school to check. But I thought it was not worth the effort because by then it should have been long gone. From 1:45pm till 8pm, how can it still be there? So damn pissed off with my luck. The thumb drive which cost me $35 was not even 2 weeks old! And now I am under a period of tight budget. It hurts to lose $35 just like that.
So today I reach school at 8am (because got to drive sweet for her class at 8am), the com lab wasn't open yet so headed to library for project research, photocopy till 9am before going back to check for my thumb drive.
When I reached the com lab, a lady was already using that computer. Sian. Just take a glimpse of my thumb drive. To my surprise, the thumb drive was STILL THERE! So I ask the lady for permission to retrieve my thumb drive and when she saw me plugging out, her expression was like "how come there's a thumb drive at the back?" Hahaha..
It made my day. I was so happy to get back my $35. Since I was in the com lab, so just as well print my notes for 10am New Media class. When I reach the printing area, then I realized that I LEFT my cashcard in the photocopy machine at the library. Damn.. Got my $35, but lost $8. Sigh... At least still better off. So I couldn't print my notes and walk back to library. I went back to the exact photocopy machine to look for my cashcard.
2nd surprise of the day, the cashcard was actually ejected from the card reader and placed on it. So kind soul do exist. She or he did not take my cashcard. So nice of her or him. Thanks for not taking a poor and broke chap's cashcard.
What a lucky day....
